Scotland — Ultra X Multi-Day Ultra Marathon Trail Running Series takes place in the Scottish Highlands centred on Inverness and the Loch Ness corridor from 2 to 3 May 2026. The weekend offers six official race options including a two-day 110km multi-stage (60km + 50km), a 110km single-stage and single-day 60km, 50km, 25km and 12km trail races. Routes use Loch Ness trails, sections of the Great Glen Way and South Loch Ness Trail with camping and stage logistics organised for overnight competitors. The event is delivered by Ultra X (World Ultra Corporation Ltd) and is presented as part of the Ultra X series of multi-day ultramarathons.
The race weekend emphasises self-supported trail ultrarunning with fully marked courses, medical cover and aid stations approximately every 10km, GPS tracking for competitors and camping facilities on Saturday night. The 110km distance carries UTMB World Series indexing and several distances qualify for series or Slam recognition; under-23 entrants are eligible to enter free across all distances. Competitor communications include a detailed race pack issued before the event, a published kit list, and optional transfer and shuttle services between Inverness and start/finish locations. Participants are offered insurance cover and the option to purchase event photography and other add-ons during registration.
