SARR Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k

San Antonio Road Runners invite you to join us for the Inaugural SARR Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k (formerly known as Carrabba's - 5K, Half Marathon, and Half Marathon Relay)

Three great options: Want a challenge? Run the Half Marathon. Want to get a team together to relay? Grab your friends, find your team shirts or costumes! You can also run the 5K solo. Participants receive a Texas finisher medal, an awesome Texas theme shirt and delicious Texas barbecue food post race.

Relay Info: You will be prompted to join an existing Relay Team or create a new Relay Team during the registration process. Registration fee is a per person fee. All team members must register separately.

• Open (All male, all female, or co-ed, any age)
• Masters (All male, all female, or co-ed, ages 40+)
• Super Masters (All male, all female, or co-ed, ages 50+)
• Mixed X (3 female, 1 male, any age)
• Mixed Y (3 males, 1 female, any age)

7:10AM 4-PERSON RELAY START

Race Routes : Half Marathon and 2-person relay (half marathoners will complete 2 loops)

VIRTUAL RACE Details: The virtual run events will close on June 14 at 11AM.

The Virtual Texas Sun Showdown 5K and Half Marathon are races that you can run or walk from any location and route. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

Signup, download and print your race bib, complete the run and submit your results. When you submit your time, you will also be able to download, print and/or share your Finisher's Certificate. Complete your race and submit your results between: June 15, 2025, 12:00am- June 30, 2025, 11:59pm

Register Early: SARR members save 25% with online registration thru 5/11/25 (automatically applied at checkout) Military (active/retired) and First Responder get a $5 discount thru 5/11/25 (applied at checkout; no other discounts apply; please show ID at packet pickup). Runners age 24 or younger and age 70+ get a 50% discount with online registration thru 5/11/25 (automatically applied at checkout, no other discounts apply).
