Saint Nicholas Run Michendorf

Nikolauslauf Michendorf is a family-focused community running event held on 6 December 2026. The event, organised by Laufclub Michendorf e.V. in cooperation with Gemeinde Michendorf, offers multiple distances including a 1 km Zipfelmützenlauf for young children, 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and a 4x2.5 km relay. Start and finish are at the Dorfplatz by the Gemeindezentrum "Zum Apfelbaum" in Michendorf and the competition uses a 2.5 km town loop that is repeated for the longer distances. Races are chip-timed using transponders and official results with downloadable certificates are published online after the event. With the exception of the Zipfelmützenlauf, competitors are required to wear a Nikolaus costume and every finisher receives a chocolate Nikolaus at the finish. Registration is expected to open online in October 2026, postal entries are accepted and limited late entry is possible on race day for a small surcharge; bib pickup is offered on 5 and 6 December. Safety measures, route controls and media-consent conditions are set out by the organiser and road closures are planned around the event time.
