The Rimi Riga Marathon is a two-day running festival in Latvia’s capital, featuring the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km and 6 km on Sunday, plus the DPD Mile and Kids’ Day on Saturday. Runners trace routes inspired by the World Athletics Road Running Championships Riga 2023, taking in the city’s UNESCO-listed Old Town and the banks of the Daugava River. An expo with bib collection rounds out the weekend, and the organiser showcases annually designed medals and official T‑shirts by noted local artists. Registration is open for the confirmed 2026 dates of 16–17 May.
Courses are promoted as fast and memorable, with a reputation for producing record-chasing times on largely flat city streets. The event highlights its sustainability credentials, having calculated its CO₂e footprint as a first among large-scale Baltic sports events. With distances for all abilities, a family-friendly Kids’ Day and the DPD Mile, the weekend welcomes local and international runners alike. The edition forms part of the longstanding Rimi Riga Marathon series, supported by a broad partner network and strong city engagement.
