The Rheinisches-Revier-RTF “Rund um unsere Tagebaue” is a one-day recreational cycling event organised by SV Malefinkbach 1983 e.V. with partner TV Huchem-Stammeln and regional supporters. The event name emphasises rides through the Rheinisches Revier and around local Tagebaue (open-cast mining landscapes), offering multiple route lengths and GPX/Komoot downloads for navigation. Participants can choose routes from short RTF distances up to a long endurance Marathon option, with control points providing food and drink along the way.
The event starts and finishes at PRIMUS-Schule Titz and features volunteer and partner stands at the venue, plus warm-meal options for marathon starters at the Indemann control point (pre-registration advised to guarantee meals). Routes may be adjusted shortly before the event and organisers publish GPX files and Komoot tours for each distance. The format focuses on mass-participation recreational riding rather than competitive classifications and stresses participant responsibility under StVO and BDR rules.
