    About

The Regensburg Marathon, taking place in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a 2000 year old Roman city with a tradition of marathons that goes back almost 30 years. As you run the course, you will discover a lot of famous and beautiful buildings as well as modern parts of the city. In 2019, the course will be even more special as it takes you across the world's oldest stone bridge, which has recently been reconstructed after 9 years. The marathon, three-quarter marathon, and half marathon all start at the Infineon car park. The half marathon runners will complete a 21 km stretch eastward to the Continental system test course and back to the start. The three-quarter marathon runners will complete the quarter-marathon route and the marathon runners will run the quarter-marathon route twice, eventually leading them back to the city at the Ostentor. As they make their way back to the old town, they witness the beauty and history of the world cultural heritage that surrounds them.
