Join us for our 2nd annual 5K Walk/Run Event to raise funds for the homeless in our community! The proceeds will benefit "The Renewal Center" a community center and a day shelter in the heart of Monroe that meets the basic needs of homeless individuals and acts as a connection point to local resources. At The Renewal Center, we provide individuals with the tools and support they need to obtain a life of self-sustainability. We provide meals, laundry services, Bible studies, education, the opportunity to earn a HiSet Diploma through our partnership with Louisiana Delta Community College, case management, vital document retrieval, etc. We currently have one building which limits our ability to offer overnight housing, but we have big dreams to become so much more than a day shelter. Our goal is to grow our campus and add multiple buildings to include a dining hall, a men's shelter, a women/children's shelter and transitional housing. With your help, we can raise the money needed to make this dream a reality and make a lasting impact on the homelessness in our community. Please join us as we Race for Renewal!
Please note: Online registration will continue until October 1, 2025, and will include a race day t-shirt. Registration will be available on site at Forsythe Park Pavilion 1 on the day of the race for $40 but will not include a t-shirt. We will accept cash, check or PayPal for anyone registering the day of the race.
