Race for Life Reading Pretty Muddy 5k is organised by Cancer Research UK - Race for Life and takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026 at Prospect Park in Reading. The event is a 5k Pretty Muddy obstacle course designed for fun and fundraising rather than competitive times, and the course is described as just over 3 miles with muddy obstacles to climb, crawl and slide through. Adults (18+) are the primary entry group and the main adult start window is listed at 10:30, with participants encouraged to take part solo or with friends and family to raise money for life‑saving cancer research.
The start and finish are located on the central grass field near the tennis courts, café and ranger station (what3words ///stale.wins.bars), and participants are invited to stay afterwards for a picnic-style celebration with supporters. Practical information on-site includes event parking with guidance to Liebenrood Road entrances, alternative local parking and public transport links, and the event notes that dogs are not allowed. The emphasis is on a fun, accessible experience suitable for a wide range of abilities while supporting Cancer Research UK through fundraising.
