Race Across Germany Nord–Süd (Flensburg–Garmisch) is presented as the flagship ultracycling challenge that traverses Germany from the Baltic coast to the Alps over approximately 1,100 kilometres and 7,500 metres of climbing. The event is offered for solo riders (supported and nonsupported) and for 2‑ and 4‑person teams, and it is explicitly used as a qualification route for Race Across America in designated categories. The organiser publishes GPX route files and a written briefing about four weeks before the start and operates controlled wave starts with accreditation procedures immediately prior to racing.
The event emphasises self‑sufficiency for nonsupported categories while offering limited luggage transfer and logistical services for small bags; finishers receive a commemorative finisher jersey and a medal and official podium awards are presented by category. Live results, time station splits and course records for multiple years are published on the official site, and the race lists precise start‑window rules and finishing cut‑offs for each edition. The Flensburg–Garmisch edition is part of the Race Across Germany series and carries national ultracycling championship recognition in specified categories.
Start: Flensburg, Schleswig‑Holstein, Germany
