Race Across Germany 3000 is a mass-start ultracycling challenge that circumnavigates Germany over approximately 3,000 kilometres, with the official start and finish in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. The route showcases a wide variety of landscapes from the North Sea and Baltic coasts through low mountain ranges and Alpine foothills to the Rhine plain, Black Forest and Moselle valley, demanding sustained endurance and navigation across day and night. The organiser positions the event as an emotional and sporting journey around the nation, combining extreme distance with varied scenery.
The 2026 edition is scheduled to start on 8 August 2026 with staggered starts (120‑second intervals) and accreditation on the Thursday evening before the start; registered riders receive the final GPX route and written briefing about four weeks prior and are issued a GPS tracker and race number at accreditation. The field is intentionally limited (minimum five and maximum thirty starters) and finishers within the time limits receive a finisher jersey and medal; category winners are celebrated at a prize ceremony once placements are confirmed. Live timing and published results are provided on the official website, and a series of fifteen timed checkpoints is used to control progress around the course.
