RACA1000 NORTH-SOUTH / RACE ACROSS AUSTRIA is a 1,000 km self‑supported ultracycling challenge that starts and finishes in Linz. The route reaches Austrias northernmost and southernmost points and returns via alpine passes, with the S1lk Pass (1,790 m) as the highest point and roughly 14,000 metres of total ascent. The event is offered in two start blocks (ADVENTURE and RACE) that share the same route, rules and results while differing in start times and time limits. Participants are required to be self‑supported on the course while benefiting from organised Base Camps and logistical services at set points.
The race package includes GPS trackers with live tracking and SOS, luggage depot/drop‑bag logistics and Base Camps with showers, food and refreshment services, plus professional photography and post‑race finisher items. Prize money and trophies are awarded for the fastest solo female and male finishers, and each starter supports a tree‑planting initiative. Briefings and key information are provided in German and English, and the organiser maintains a 24h hotline and on‑road support presence for safety and coordination.
