Start and finish: Old Town Square, Prague
The Prague International Marathon 2026 is the 31st edition of RunCzech’s flagship marathon and takes place over the marathon weekend from 2–3 May 2026. Held under the World Athletics Elite Label, the race leads runners through Prague’s historic centre with a scenic, largely flat, closed-road course that starts and finishes at Old Town Square. The event is organised by RunCzech s.r.o. and combines elite competition with a festival atmosphere that highlights the city’s landmarks and running heritage.
The marathon weekend comprises a range of races and mass-participation activities, from the Active Breakfast Run and family mile to the full 42.195 km Prague International Marathon and multi-person pair/relay formats. Weekend features include a Marathon Music Festival with live stages, comprehensive medical and safety provision, live TV and international streaming, and an expo for number pick-up and partner services. Maps and GPX for 2026 will be published on the official site and registration for many races is either code-based or already sold out, so participants should consult the event pages for the latest logistics.
