Pierrepont Plod d Summer 2026 is a six-hour, looped trail challenge held at Holme Pierrepont Country Park and Watersports Centre. Participants complete as many 5.497 km laps as they can within a six-hour window or may stop after a single lap and still be recorded as a finisher. The course is mainly compacted gravel with some wetland and natural-path sections, so runners should expect mud, roots and puddles; the route is generally flat with occasional small lumps and is suitable for aiming at a PB on firm ground.
The event day logistics include registration and race-number pick-up on the morning (from 08:15), a race briefing at 08:55 and a 09:00 start. There is a large, well-stocked base-camp aid station with snacks and drinks (participants are asked to BYO bottle), on-site first aid cover for the full six hours and portable/public toilets at the venue. Because the course runs around an active watersports centre, runners must share space with other users and the organiser will communicate any weather- or flood-related contingency plans in advance.
