About
Get ready to lace up for a cause that runs deep into the heart of our community! The 3rd Annual PFC Joseph P Dwyer PTSD Memorial 5K Run, hosted by Rocky Point VFW Post 6249, is sprinting into action on Sunday, May 26th, 2024. We're gathering not just to compete, but to honor an American hero and support fellow veterans grappling with PTSD and TBI. This trailblazing 5K invites runners and walkers of all ages to wind through the stunning pine barrens, go for the gold in various age categories, or simply enjoy the scenic route at your own pace. With the first 300 registrants scoring a commemorative t-shirt, and a generous serving of refreshments awaiting you at the finish line, this is more than a race—it's a heartfelt tribute. Join the community at Rocky Point High School, with check-in at 10:00am and the starting whistle at 12:30pm. Remember, every step you take and every dollar raised from the $25 pre-registration or $35 on-the-day entry goes to the Joseph Dwyer Program: a vital peer-to-peer support network that is revolutionizing veteran care. Let's run together for those who ran for us!
