The Oxford 5k is part of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life series and takes place in University Parks, Oxford, on Sunday 28 June 2026. The event is a fundraising 5 km aimed at walkers, joggers and runners and is promoted as an achievable distance with no competitive time pressure. Participants may join individually or as part of a group, with options to nominate Group Leaders and use fundraising tools to support life‑saving cancer research. Entry fees cover event costs while fundraising proceeds go directly to Cancer Research UK.
The course starts and finishes on the grass by the cricket pavilion in University Parks and is predominantly flat, running on park paths and closed roads through Oxford. The published start time is 10:30 local and nearby road closures and traffic management will be in place from around 09:00–11:45 to facilitate the event. On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets, and the route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users; dogs are permitted. Participants are advised that there is no dedicated on‑site event parking and to use Park and Ride or public transport where possible.
