Ortenau Guardian Angel Run (Zell am Harmersbach)

The Ortenauer Schutzengel-Lauf is a charity, non-competitive community run organised by the Selbsthilfegruppe Mukoviszidose Ortenau (Mukoviszidose e.V. Regionalgruppe Ortenau). The event, advertised as "Ortenauer Schutzengel-Lauf", emphasises the total number of kilometres run to raise funds rather than individual times or placings, and it is explicitly open to all ages and abilities. Participants may walk, jog or run on a short city circuit, and the atmosphere is family-friendly with music, warm-up activities and side events designed for all generations.

The gathering is based at the Rathaus, Hauptstraße 19 in Zell am Harmersbach with on-site check-in from 12:00 and the communal running window scheduled 14:00–16:00. Advance bib collection is offered for registrants (the organiser lists Friday 15 May, 15:00–18:00; the flyer shows 2025 in one place which appears to be a typographical error and should align with the 2026 event). On-course support includes two aid stations with water and sport food, accessible, paved streets for wheelchair users, and a varied programme of refreshments, children’s activities and community stalls around Kanzleiplatz.
