The Ørestad Half Marathon is presented as the World Championships Warm-Up and returns for its second edition in 2026 as the flagship race on Sunday 6 September. The event is centred at Naturcenter Amager on Kalvebod Fælled in Copenhagen and is promoted as a flat, fast, AIMS‑certified course measured to World Athletics guidelines. The meeting includes multiple distances — the half marathon, 10K, 5K and the One Mile — and is positioned to attract elite and club runners preparing for the World Championships.
Runners are offered chip timing with official results supplied by Race Result, on‑course aid stations and digital finish diplomas, with logistics emphasising easy metro access at Vestamager. The course is described as 100% asphalt with minimal elevation (approximately 7 metres gain) and a route designed for fast times, while organisers provide route files (GPX/KML/TCX/FIT) on request. Practical information such as bib collection, elite A qualification standards and registration deadlines are published on the event site.
