The Oldenburg Marathon is a single-day road running event hosted in Oldenburg, Germany. Organised by Oldenburger Marathonverein e.V., it welcomes runners to a well-established autumn date that brings the local running community together. Serving as the finale of the Öffentliche Laufserie, the event provides dedicated runner information and local guidance from the organiser.
The 2026 edition is scheduled for 25 October 2026 and offers multiple distances on a single day: a full marathon, a half marathon (including a relay half), a 10 km, a 5 km and a children's mile. Registration for the 2026 edition opened on 16 February 2026; full details including race formats, schedules and on-the-day logistics are published by the organiser.
The course concept combines a scenic Ammerland landscape section with a lively urban finish at Schlossplatz in Oldenburg. The marathon start is in Edewecht with shuttle transport arranged between Oldenburg and the start area. Many city-centre streets are closed on race day; practical and athlete information is available on the organiser's website.
