Nymburský půlmaraton returns on Sunday 26 April 2026 with a scenic and spirited road race under the historic ramparts of Nymburk. The half marathon covers 21.1 km on a mostly asphalt course, designed as two laps of a roughly 10 km circuit. Runners trace the Elbe riverside cycle paths and city park, with minimal elevation aside from steps on a bridge and a crossing at the lock. The event atmosphere is centred around the start/finish area under the ramparts, offering a welcoming hub for athletes.
The route features two notable crossings over the Elbe, including the bypass bridge at Chvalovice and the lock by the Nymburk power plant, adding character without excessive climbing. Professional chip timing records an intermediate split as you pass the finish area at 10 km, and a three‑hour time limit applies for inclusion in the official results. Aid stations with water, isotonic drinks, fruit and chocolate support participants every five kilometres, and finishers receive a commemorative medal and a post‑race sandwich. Facilities include changing areas and luggage storage, with medical service on site and prizes for category winners and the overall champions.
