Monaco di Baviera Lite 2026 is an ultracycling challenge organised by Ultracycling Challenges and presented under the Italian name Monaco di Baviera Lite. The event features a fixed 840 km route with approximately 12,880 metres of ascent that traverses iconic Alpine passes such as Stelvio, Umbrail, Passo delle Erbe, Passo Furcia and the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße. The course is routed to favour dedicated cycle paths and scenic alpine roads, allowing riders to focus on riding and the landscape rather than traffic. It is positioned as the shorter, more approachable counterpart to the Monaco di Baviera Classic while remaining a demanding long-distance test.
Riders may enter as solo competitors or as teams of two to four and must be self-supported in accordance with the organiser's rules; electric bikes are not permitted and a tracker device must remain active throughout the route. The event page highlights practical inclusions such as GPX route files, real-time tracking, live media coverage, a starter bag, showers and finisher rewards including a biodegradable trophy. Specific start times, daily schedule and precise start‑location logistics are not provided on the published page and should be confirmed with the organiser.
Start/Finish: Munich, Bavaria, Germany
