The historic Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler is a long-standing community favorite in Lynchburg, drawing thousands of runners, walkers, and families to its globally recognized course. The event features a downtown festival, weekend entertainment, an exciting after-party, and the popular Amazing Mile Children’s Run. Organized by the Lynchburg Road Runners Club, the race welcomes participants of all abilities and offers opportunities for both elite and recreational athletes.
For the current edition on 27 Sep, 2025 (Sat) participants can choose from the 10-mile event, the 4+ mile run/walk options, and the Amazing Mile for children. The race celebrates a milestone anniversary with a special 50th Anniversary medal and additional participant promotions; organizers also run referral promotions (invite friends via a unique URL for a chance to win free entry).
