The Möckmühler Stadtlauf is a community road running event held as part of the Möckmühl Stadtfest and is scheduled for Sunday 21 June 2026. Races start and finish at the Töpferei Capelle and the course follows the Jagst river out to Ruchsen before returning through Möckmühl’s medieval town centre, offering a mix of riverside and historic-town scenery. Distances cater to all ages with Bambini and Schüler races alongside 5 km and 10 km options, making the Möckmühler Stadtlauf a family-friendly highlight of the festival weekend.
Races use staggered start times for each category; on-event number collection (bib pickup) begins at 08:00 at the Rathaus Möckmühl and there is on-site finishing support including aid stations and finish-line refreshments. Timing is managed using transponders (race chip timing). All finishers receive a high-quality finisher T-shirt and there are age-group awards, including the title of Möckmühler Stadtmeister/in for eligible local residents. The event is approved by DLV and WLSB (WLSB cover for accidents is provided).
Organisers publish course descriptions and GPX/PDF files for the 10 km route and advise participants to check the official website for the latest registration details and any schedule updates. Facilities include showers/changing rooms available at nearby sports halls, parking and good public transport links.
Start/Finish at Töpferei Capelle; bib pickup at Rathaus Möckmühl (Hauptstraße 23, 74219 Möckmühl)
