Milafrangan Gaindi is an annual community trail and randonnée event held around Villefranque in the Pyrénées‑Atlantiques, France. The event series combines a nature trail (commonly a 12.5 km circuit with roughly 400 m of ascent) with randonnée options, children’s races and a joëlettes category for wheelchair‑assisted teams. The organising team emphasises local volunteer support, bilingual Basque/Spanish notes in communications, and strong ties with the Mairie de Villefranque and local sponsors. Past editions include photo galleries and published results, reflecting a compact, well documented local race tradition.
Registrations for runners and joëlettes are handled online via the PB Organisation platform while randonnée and children’s entries are typically available on the day. The event is family‑oriented with food and refreshment points on the course, on‑site changing and shower facilities, and small participant gifts offered to early registrants. Course etiquette and accessibility are promoted (dogs must be kept on a leash on the Milafrangan Gaindi path) and the event routinely publishes results and media after each edition. The Milafrangan Gaindi team runs the series with an emphasis on inclusiveness and community atmosphere.
