Pays des Châteaux — around Cheverny, linking Chambord and Beauregard, Loire Valley
The event titled "Marathon de Cheverny & Trail du Pays des Châteaux" brings a broad programme of road and trail racing to the heart of the Loire Valley on 25–26 April 2026. Races range from a 10 km road run and a half-marathon to a full marathon (solo or relay) and three trail distances of 14 km, 35 km and 63 km that link Chambord with Cheverny. The organiser emphasises a heritage-rich setting among châteaux, local gastronomy and a festive atmosphere for families and competitors of varying abilities. With nearly 7,000 participants reported in 2025, the event offers options for elite and recreational runners alike.
Support activities and event hospitality are part of the experience, including a pre-race pasta party the evening before the races, family and children's courses, and walking (randonnée) options within the event programme. The festival-style layout combines scenic routes past Loire châteaux with services aimed at participants and visiting spectators, while practical details such as exact start times, wave information and specific course profiles are published on the official site and registration pages. The organiser positions the event as inclusive, with seven varied parcours suited to different ages and levels, and options to race solo or in relay on the marathon distance.
