The Luisenturmlauf (commonly called the "Luise") is a long‑running road and forest race that returns on 1 March 2026, organised by RSV Borgholzhausen e.V. The event is known for its demanding, hilly course that starts and finishes in the Ravensberger Stadion and climbs to the landmark Luisenturm, offering a mix of street sections and scenic Teutoburg Forest trails. With a history of more than 50 years, the Luise is celebrated locally for its tradition, community atmosphere and as a springtime form test for competitive and recreational runners alike.
The 2026 edition includes a half marathon and 12.5 km distances, plus a Nordic walking category, and uses disposable transponder timing behind the race numbers. Organisers publish an official Ausschreibung and registration information on the RSV Borgholzhausen website; key race rules include a checkpoint at Vacarienkopf (around 7 km) with a 55‑minute requirement for half marathon competitors, who may be rerouted to the 12.5 km course if the checkpoint is not met. Facilities noted by the organiser include race-day number collection, aid stations, showers/changing rooms and limited parking close to the stadium.
