    The Louisville Honor Earned, Remembrance Owed (H.E.R.O.) Run/Walk/Ruck is an event to honor those lost in battle and those affected by war's psychological impact. The event takes place at the University of Louisville and encompasses a welcoming atmosphere for participants of all ages. Proceeds support Volunteers of America Mid-States and the University of Louisville's Salute to Service Scholarship Fund. Finishers receive unique medals, and awards are given to top male and female participants. With a focus on community and charity, participants can also explore local Veteran organizations.
