The starting line is located near S. Loudoun Street, and the finish line is at the Old Courthouse statue. There’s no race day registration, and participation requires advance sign-up. A registration fee generally includes a T-shirt, though options are available to opt-out to save costs. Shenandoah Valley Runners members receive a discount. The event is structured in waves, with the first wave for men, followed by a women's wave, subsequent waves based on speed, and non-competitive fitness walking.
