What: 4th Annual Lock 2 Lock Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K
When: Saturday, September 6, 2025
Where: Entirely along the C&O Canal Towpath in Williamsport, Maryland
All three races take place on the C&O Canal towpath. The start/finish area will be Lock 44 (DO NOT USE FOR PARKING).
This is a BQ certified course! 2025 times can be used for 2026 and 2027. The course certification number is MD22006NP.
Thursday, Sept 4: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Packet pick-up @Elite Performance Institute (19719 Leitersburg Pike, Hagerstown MD 21742).
Friday, Sept. 5: 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.— Packet pick-up @Cushwa Brewing Company (10210 Governor Lane Boulevard Suite# 2010, Williamsport, MD 21795).
Saturday, Sept. 6: 6:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. — Packet pick-up at Lock 44. You will need to park either at Cushwa Basin or Williamsport Park and then walk about .25 miles to the lockhouse.
7:30 a.m — Marathon start
8:00 a.m — Half Marathon start
8:15 a.m — 10K start
Marathon: $91.10 incl. $6.10 Fee
Half Marathon: $69.90 incl. $4.90 Fee
10K: $59.30 incl. $4.30 Fee
Packet pick-up will occur on Thursday, Sept 4, Friday, Sept 5, and Saturday, Sept 6 at specified locations.
Participants should bring their registration confirmation and a valid ID for packet pickup.
Runners will start near Lock 44 and travel in a generally southeasterly direction for their respective distances.
Awards will be given to the top 3 Male and Female finishers in each race, as well as age group awards for the Marathon and Half Marathon.
All participants will be required to park either in the Cushwa Basin parking lot or in the Williamsport Park parking lot. Parking at Lock 44 is very limited.
