The Legdener Mittsommernachtslauf (Legdener Volks-Mittsommernachtslauf) is a community-focused midsummer night run held in Legden, Germany. The event turns the town centre into a festive, night-time running event with starts and finishes at the Dahliendorfstadion. The programme offers a broad range of distances for all ages and abilities — from bambini and children's runs (400 m, 800 m) and 2 km races through 5 km and 10 km races to dedicated walking/Nordic-walking and wheelchair-friendly categories. Many recreational runners take part, making the event as much a local celebration as a competition, and local spectators commonly line parts of the course.
The race is organised by the local club SuS Legden (SuS Legden 1911 e.V. / SuS Legden – Leichtathletik-Abteilung). The organiser emphasises an inclusive, relaxed, social character rather than strict time-trial pressure: official times are generally recorded only for the first three finishers. Starts are scheduled from the early evening (first races from about 19:00 local time) with shorter children's races staged early and the longer distances later in the evening. The event is promoted as an annual MiSoLa (Mittsommernachtslauf) midsummer highlight in Legden. Past editions have attracted several hundred participants (a recent edition recorded 607 participants), underlining the strong community attendance.
Accessibility and inclusivity are emphasised: the programme includes children's races, walking and Nordic-walking options (5 km walking, wheelchair welcome) and a separate wheelchair category. The course route passes through the Ortskern (town centre), creating a family-friendly festival atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
