LebensLauf – unser Charity-Lauf für eine offene Asylpolitik brings people together to support the right to asylum and to promote human rights and solidarity. Organised by asylkoordination österreich, the event emphasises inclusion, accessibility and a welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages, abilities and genders. Participants, volunteers and supporters gather to make a public statement against racism and to raise funds and awareness for refugee-related work.
The day features a 5 km main run, a 5 km Nordic walking race and a 1 km children’s run, with separate male*, female* and non-binary categories and team options. Races take place in Kurpark Oberlaa in Vienna, with bib pick-up offered in the days before the event. LebensLauf is organised as an EcoEvent with a focus on sustainable travel, waste reduction and regional products, and registration opens on 1 April 2026. The event also offers run sponsorships so participants can donate start places to refugees.
