The LASAA organizes athletic events for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department employees, law enforcement personnel, and the general public to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie. The Mug Run series, which began with primarily law enforcement participants, has expanded to include over 300 runners from the community. The event fosters friendly competition and positive interaction between law enforcement and the public. Participants receive a T-shirt, and early registration ensures a discounted rate.
