Strandbad Klagenfurt, Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Carinthia, Austria
The Kleine Zeitung Austria Company Triathlon is a short, spectator-friendly corporate triathlon held on the shores of Lake Wörthersee in Klagenfurt as part of the IRONMAN Kärnten-Klagenfurt weekend. The race comprises a 380 metre swim, a 20 kilometre bike loop and a 4.2 kilometre run along the lakeside promenade, with both individual and three-person relay entries available. Competitors wear an ankle timekeeping chip for official results, and the event finishes in the Athlete Garden where an award ceremony is held. The format and lakeside setting make the race suitable for company teams and spectators alike.
Practical arrangements include afternoon registration at Metnitzstrand 1, a pre-race briefing and an evening race start from Strandbad Klagenfurt; athlete information, course maps and an athlete guide are provided on the official IRONMAN event pages. Swim caps are mandatory and wetsuit use depends on water temperature, with the final decision announced at the race briefing; drafting rules and OETRV sporting regulations apply on the bike course. The event offers on-course safety support, an event shirt, timed results and post-race food and drink, and it is promoted as part of the larger IRONMAN Kärnten event weekend.
