The Lake Mingo Trail Run is held at Kennekuk Cove County Park and organized by Joe Kelly and Stephen Darling. Participants can enjoy a course with varied terrains, including trail, grassland, rock, and asphalt, offering diverse challenges like hills, bridges, and marshlands. Natural wildlife sightings abound, with deer, geese, and wild turkeys. An aid station provides hydration and snacks at the midway point. Finisher medals go to the first 200 runners. A post-race party features food, drinks, and gratitude to volunteers. Nearby camping at Kickapoo State Park offers additional accommodation options.
