The KallinchenTriathlon returns to the shores of Motzener See with a full day of racing based at Strandbad Kallinchen. Athletes can choose from Olympic, Sprint and Supersprint distances, alongside a dedicated children’s triathlon, making it welcoming for newcomers and experienced triathletes alike. The event follows the German Triathlon Union regulations, with helmets compulsory on the bike and non-drafting rules enforced. Spectators are warmly invited, and the atmosphere is family-friendly with free entry mentioned by the organiser.
Racing takes place on a lakeside swim, a road cycling loop around Motzener See, and a run through Kallinchen’s side streets. Transition is guarded during the core race period, and the bike course receives full traffic management to support safe competition. Licensed athletes can score for the BerlinCup, while others may participate with a day licence paid on site. Clear logistics include off-site participant parking and staged access to and from the area in line with course closures.
Distances are set at 1.5 km swim, 39 km bike, and 10 km run for the Olympic race; 0.75 km, 22 km, and 6.6 km for the Sprint; and 0.3 km, 13 km, and 3.3 km for the Supersprint. The children’s triathlon offers age-appropriate legs to encourage the next generation. Entry limits apply across the event to maintain safety and quality on course. A structured timetable with staggered starts ensures a smooth flow throughout the morning and early afternoon.
