St. Pölten, Niederösterreich, Austria (part of Challenge St. Pölten festival)
The Junior Challenge St. Pölten is the youth aquathlon within the Challenge St. Pölten Triathlon Festival, staged for young triathletes and families. The event ( Junior Challenge St. Pölten ) is aimed at children and teenagers from about five to seventeen years old and includes a range of age-group distances from short runs up to combined 750m swim and 3,000m run for older juniors. The race is run on the Saturday of the festival, the day before the middle-distance race, and 2026 again includes a Junior‑Fun option for those preferring a shorter swim and longer run.
The Junior Challenge is organised by Challenge St. Pölten and takes place in St. Pölten, Niederösterreich, Austria, forming part of the wider festival programme that features an EXPO and race services. Online registration is open until 28 May 2026 (12:00) with on-site late registration possible, and logistics notes on the race page describe meeting points and transition-area timings for each age group. Course maps and an age-category table with swim and run distances are provided on the official race page for parents and coaches to check the exact distances for each birth year.
