Islander Run

The Reichenauer Insellauf is an annual island road run (Reichenauer Insellauf) held on Insel Reichenau and organised by Sportverein Reichenau 1920 e. V. The event on 20 September 2026 offers multiple distances on a measured island loop with start and finish at Sportplatz Baurenhorn, Schulstraße 10. Runners can choose from a half marathon, a 10 km race, a 3×7 km relay and dedicated youth and childrens races, all routed along lakeside sections, field paths and asphalt. The course is officially measured under DLO guidelines and the races are held under DLV rules.

The event combines competitive racing with local community services including on-course aid stations, catering by the clubs youth section, and medical cover by the DRK Reichenau. Bib pickup is available the day before and on race morning, changing and shower facilities are provided in the Inselhalle, and official results are published via MyRaceResult. The Insellauf highlights scenic views of vineyards, orchards and historic buildings while offering trophies, age-group prizes and medals for youth categories, plus a relay format designed for two or three-person teams. Parking is available locally and the organisers provide practical information and late-entry options on the event website.
