Event Overview

The Independence Rhode Race will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025. In partnership with the Bristol Fourth of July Committee, the half marathon will follow the beautiful downtown streets of America’s quintessential community when it is decked out in its finest - during the Oldest 4th of July Celebration in America. The course includes incredible historic homes, a town common and the America’s Cup Museum before heading out along the scenic coastline, through Roger Williams University, following the parade route, and finishing along the water at Independence Park.

Schedule

Half Marathon starts at 6:30 AM EDT and ends at 10:00 AM EDT.

Registration & Pricing

Registration for the Half Marathon is $65, and for the Virtual Half Marathon is $50. Prices increase after February 28, 2025.

Packet Pickup Details

Participants must show their ID when picking up registration materials.

What to Bring

Participants should bring their ID and race bib for the post-race party.

Race Day Info

The race will happen rain or shine. No refunds will be issued unless the event is canceled due to severe weather.

Awards & Categories

Awards will be given to top finishers in various categories.

Parking & Transportation

Parking is recommended at Guiteras School, the free Bristol Town lots, or on-street parking.
