The Hutwisch Berglauf Bad Schönau is a single-day hill race within the Buckltour series, scheduled for 4 July 2026 with a 10:00 start. The course covers 5,500 metres with 430 metres of ascent over predominantly forest paths and steep climbs to the highest point of the Bucklige Welt. Runners finish at the Hutwischwarte in Hochneukirchen, where a panoramic viewpoint and the notable 102 steps mark the summit finish. The event is organised by Verein Hutwisch Berglauf Bucklige Welt and is listed on the official Buckltour series site.
The 2026 edition introduces a specially crafted finisher medal and awards trophies to the top three in each age class, plus prizes for the fastest man and fastest woman of the day. Timing is manual (no chip) and registration closes on 2 July with on-site late entries possible from 08:30 to 09:45 on race day for an extra fee. Support services include a shuttle, baggage transport, aid stations with water on course and plentiful catering at the finish. Prize giving is planned around 12:30 at s’Hutwisch – Wirtshaus am Dach der Welt.
