The Hardter Karnevalslauf takes place in Mönchengladbach on 14 February 2026 and offers a mix of youth and adult races ranging from 400 m up to 10 km. The programme includes Bambini and Schülerläufe alongside the 5 km Karnevalslauf and a 10 km race branded as part of the NEW‑Laufserie ’26. Digital transponder timing is used for all timed races, with gross and net times recorded for the 5 km and 10 km distances and live results published online after each race.
Finishers in the 5 km and 10 km races receive a medal at the finish and top three men and women are awarded certificates plus a free entry for next year; Bambinis and Schüler also receive medals and certificates at prizegiving. The event is staged at the Schulzentrum Vossenbäumchen with starts on Karrenweg and the 1 km start on Vossenbäumchen; facilities include changing rooms and showers in the sports hall and a school cafeteria providing food and drink. The 2026 edition is the first Lauf of the NEW‑Laufserie ’26 and remains organised by Leichtathletik‑Gemeinschaft Mönchengladbach 1979 e.V., with participant data and images published by the organiser and race result AG in line with the event terms.
