The HafenCity Run is a team-focused charity run held in Hamburg’s HafenCity quarter, presented by the HafenCity Run / BMS events team. The event is explicitly non-competitive and held without official timekeeping, emphasising team spirit, sight-seeing and fundraising rather than racing. Participants support the event’s charity partner, Hamburger Abendblatt hilft e.V., through donations included in the entry fees. The format and communications consistently promote a relaxed, corporate-team atmosphere rather than a competitive result-driven race.
The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday 30 May 2026 and follows an approximately 4 km waterfront route through HafenCity, with an optional shorter park route described by the organisers. Registration is team-based (minimum ten bibs per team), includes a finisher shirt and digital team certificate, and bundles a per-bib donation and a team donation to the charity. Practical guidance, maps and registration steps are published on the official event site and the organiser provides event communications to the nominated Team Leader.
