Menzer‑Werft‑Platz, Werftstraße
The Hachede‑Triathlon brings swim, bike and run to the heart of Geesthacht, with the start, transition and finish centred on Menzer‑Werft‑Platz. Athletes enjoy a harbour swim before heading straight onto the bike and a scenic run along the Elbe, cheered into the finish on the square. Professional transponder timing is provided by Tollense‑Timing and swim safety is ensured by DLRG, creating a secure and well‑organised race day. The event embraces both newcomers and ambitious athletes with a friendly, celebratory atmosphere. Registration opens on 01 January 2026 via the official website.
Multiple formats are planned, including Supertriathlon, Volkstriathlon, Sprinttriathlon and Olympischer Triathlon, with relay options for teams of two or three. The bike course uses a 10 km loop along Elbuferstraße, and the run follows an approximately 2.4 km riverfront lap, offering engaging multi‑lap racing and great spectator viewing. Facilities include changing rooms, WCs and warm showers at the bathing site, plus a refreshment stand in the finish area. The event is part of the PALM Serie, where finishers collect a distinctive PALM medal towards special rewards. Clear equipment rules apply, such as mandatory swim caps and a ban on e‑assist bikes and personal audio devices.
