Welcome to the green carpet run, a fast course on the Green Carpet in Maastricht with the finish at the MVV stadium. We offer challenging distances of 5km, 10km and a half marathon . All distances run one single lap. In addition, there is a kids run and for companies it is possible to register for the business run.
The Groene Loper is the area in Maastricht-Oost on top of the King Willem-Alexander tunnel. On top of the tunnel, space has been created for greenery, relaxation and sports.
The Groene Loper Run is a fast, flat, paved course. The aim is to actually make it a green, sustainable running event. The Groene Loper will become one of the healthiest urban areas in the Netherlands. The impact of this sustainable area development was awarded the European Sustainable Residential Development Award in 2020. As an organisation, we cannot afford to lag behind and make the Groene Loper Run truly green. We will realise this ambition in the coming months and years. How? Stay tuned… or better yet, register!
The registration fee for the kids run will go entirely to charity.
