Event Overview

The 17th annual Rhythm Run 5k and Health Fair is returning to Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Saturday, August 16th from 8am to 2pm. This year's event is all about celebrating community health and working together to eliminate health disparities in Kent County.

Course Description & Map

This is a 3 lap course. Start line is located at the corner of Benjamin and Alexander. You are going to go East on Alexander take a Left (North) on Calvin, to Alley just before MLK Right (East), Alley to Giddings Right (South) to Fisk, Right (West) on Fisk to Underwood Right (North) back to Alexander repeat total of 3 Laps.

Packet Pick Up: August 16, 2025 Grand Rapids African American Health Institute, 500 Lafayette Ave NE #018, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 9:00am - 1:00pm and 4:00pm-6:00pm. August 16, 2025 starting at 7:00-8:00am Start of race (Please arrive no later than 730 as race begins at 8:00 Sharp!)

Registration & Pricing

Group pricing available for teams of 3 or more runners (Must all register at the same time). Teams of 3-8 runners = 20% off per person, teams of 9-15 runners = 25% off per person, teams of 16 or more runners = 30% off per person.

What to Bring

Running shoes, comfortable clothing, and a positive attitude!

Race Day Info

Race starts at 8:00 AM. Please arrive no later than 7:30 AM.

Awards will be given to top finishers in various categories.

Parking & Transportation

Available on side streets surrounding MLK park. Preferred parking spaces are located at the GRPS Board of Education on Franklin and Giddings.
