The Glauchauer Herbstlauf is a long‑running community road running event held in Glauchau, Saxony, staged as the 39th Glauchauer Herbstlauf in 2026. The programme spans a weekend (24–25 October 2026) and offers a broad mix of distances from a 0.2 km Bambini run through 1.1 km childrenraces, a 3.2 km community run, a 10.0 km course and a 21.1 km half marathon, plus Nordic walking and a guided Wanderung. The event also includes dedicated categories such as the Freie Presse Firmen-, Vereins- und Familienlauf (team competition) and a Special City Run for athletes with intellectual disabilities, reflecting a strong inclusive and community focus.
Start and finish logistics are centred on the Sachsenlandhalle Glauchau, with detailed route maps and mostly asphalt/firm paths for the longer courses and urban segments for the shorter loops. The event uses transponder bib timing for the main timed distances, provides medals for finishers (engraving available for a fee) and stages a large participant tombola with significant prizes; many participant services such as luggage storage, childcare, refreshments, shuttle and showers are explicitly offered. The official event pages and the Ausschreibung contain full rules, time limits and registration conditions, and participants register under the stated Teilnahmebedingungen and privacy terms.
