Gladbeck Savings Bank Run

The Gladbecker Sparkassenlauf is scheduled for 23 August 2026 as the 21st edition of the event and centres on Stadion Vestische Kampfbahn in Gladbeck. The race series titled Gladbecker Sparkassenlauf features a range of distances from a family-friendly 1.5 km and childrens events through 5 km and 10 km races up to a certified Halbmarathon (half marathon), plus a four-person Teamstaffel relay. Courses run around Schloss Wittringen and through the Wittringer Wald, and the organisers highlight that the 1.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and half marathon courses are newly measured and DLV-certified for best lists through 31 December 2027. The event is presented by VfL Gladbecks athletics section together with local partners under the Sparkassenlauf branding.

Timing is provided with netto times and live timing for participants while official rankings are based on brutto (gross) time, and finishers receive medals at the finish. The event is promoted as family-friendly with a Bambini-Lauf and additional on-site activities, with refreshment points and aid stations placed along the course to support runners. A dedicated online registration system handles individual and Teamstaffel entries, with team relay pricing indicated at approximately 6070 per team depending on the chosen relay option. The race combines community atmosphere, certified fast road courses and a festival-style finish area at the stadium, making it suitable for recreational and competitive runners alike.
