MEIN FREIBURG MARATHON is Freiburg’s multi‑race road running festival, staged around Messe Freiburg and the city’s parklands. The event brings together a full marathon, a Super Sparrow half marathon (Halbmarathon), a marathon relay, a 10 km AOK‑Gesundheitslauf and school/mini races under one umbrella, and organisers present the event as a community and spectator‑friendly festival. The festival branding and programme emphasise live music and bands along the route, a dedicated expo and merchandising for participants, and a strong local sponsorship network.
Start and finish for the competitions are at Messe Freiburg (Neuer Messplatz) and the course is presented as a sightseeing route through Freiburg’s districts with accessible facilities. The organiser (FWTM GmbH & Co. KG) promotes inclusivity with youth races and a separate school relay, plus participant services such as baggage drop, showers and on‑course refreshment.
