Event Overview

The Freedom for Fighters 5K Walk/Run Event is presented to Mountain Home, Idaho in honor of all who are crushed in spirit; specifically, those who carry the hidden wounds of PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and Depression. This event is brought to you by the Jason Barney Family and the City of Mountain Home.

Course Description & Map

5 K START - Mountain Home Walking Path, East 8th Street & 7 MILE START - 1/2 Mile off of Bypass Road, West of the Granaries FINISH - Legacy Park, North Haskett Street Mountain Home, ID US 83647

Schedule

Freedom For Fighters 5K Walk/Run starts at 10:00 AM MDT and Freedom For Fighters 7 MILE Walk/Run starts at 9:00 AM MDT on June 21, 2025.

Registration & Pricing

Registration is $25. Price increases after May 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM MDT.

Packet Pickup Details

Details about packet pickup will be provided closer to the event date.

What to Bring

Participants are encouraged to bring their own new backpack and canned goods with messages of inspiration.

Race Day Info

Participants will have the option to fill a backpack at the start of the race with donated canned goods.

Awards & Categories

All participants will be celebrated as they cross the finish line.
