Fläminglauf (43rd edition) is a traditional cross-country running event taking place at the Volkspark in Lutherstadt Wittenberg on 1 May 2026, organised by SV Grün‑Weiß Wittenberg. The event offers a variety of distances from a 2 km childrens run up to a demanding 22 km race across firm and partly sandy forest and field paths. Every finisher receives a medal and there are trophies and prizes for the top three in the time-based races, with certificates available to print via the results service. The courses mixed terrain and scenic rural setting make it a popular choice for regional runners seeking a natural off-road challenge.
Races include a dedicated 11 km Nordic walking class and a 5 km Schnupperlauf (taster run), alongside the main 11 km and 22 km competitions, and age-group rules apply for each distance. Start times for the main distance races are listed as 10:00 with the Nordic walking start at 10:01, while youth and taster start times may be published closer to the event. On-site facilities at Volkspark include showers and changing rooms, and late on-site registration is possible shortly before the starts for an additional fee. Entrants register via the official Raceresult page maintained by the organiser.
