The Empire State Half Marathon and 5k take place at Rockland Lake State Park, offering a flat and fast road course just north of the NJ/NY border. Participants can enjoy a scenic loop around Rockland Lake, with the course having minimal elevation changes. Water and Gatorade stations are available along the course to keep runners fueled and hydrated. Top finishers in various age groups will receive medals, while elite athletes can apply for complimentary entry and additional perks through the Elite Athlete Program. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to support a local high school by donating gently used running gear. Those who complete both the Empire State Half Marathon and the Garden State 10 Miler will receive the Empire State Challenge Medal. For accommodation, runners can consider staying at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Nanuet, Element Spring Valley, or Hilton Garden Inn in the vicinity.
