Dresden, Sachsen, Germany (start)
ElbSpitze is an annual supported ultracycling event running from Dresden to a heavy alpine ascent, in 2026 targeting Passo di Giau in the Dolomites. The 2026 edition is listed for 3–5 July 2026 and covers approximately 778 km with about 11,900 m of elevation gain. The event is explicitly organised as a supported, non-competitive long-distance ride where participants are carried through day-and-night sections by an accompanying escort and catering teams. Route maps and a year-specific roadbook (track2026) are published on the official site and a final roadbook is issued shortly before the start.
The format emphasises team riding and mutual support, with classification jerseys awarded for special performances such as King of the Mountains and other recognitions, while participation remains at the individual's responsibility and under normal traffic regulations. Registration for the 2026 edition is open on the organiser's site and the entry fee covers guided tour support, catering, overnight accommodation, return transport and an ElbSpitze team jersey. The organisers publish safety rules and a detailed reglement on the registration pages; participants are required to follow the rules (helmet mandatory, suitable lighting for night riding, no aero devices) and to accept the non-refundable payment policy.
